US data stay steady ahead of Friday's jobs report
Payroll firm ADP said US private employers added 86,000 jobs in October, more than the 67,000 expected, and the ISM services index came in at 54.5 (above 50 means growth). The US Federal Reserve kept its policy rate at 3.75–4% on 28 October, with two members voting for a hike. The official US jobs report is due on Friday and October inflation data on 10 November; both shape views on US interest rates, which affect money flows into India.
The chain of consequences
- 1US private payrolls rise 86,000 in October
- 2Services activity index at 54.5
- 310-year yield eases to about 4.89%
- 4Fed next meets 8–9 December
Tends to gain

Tends to lose
None directly.
If it reverses
Strong inflation or jobs data could push yields up again and pull money back to the US.
