Apollo Hospitals' September-quarter profit rises 32%
Apollo Hospitals runs one of India's largest private hospital networks along with a pharmacy and digital-health business. It released September-quarter results after markets closed on 4 November: consolidated profit rose 32% from a year earlier to ₹630 crore, revenue rose 23% to ₹7,615 crore, and operating profit (EBITDA) rose 29% to ₹1,191 crore. Reports said the numbers were better than analysts had expected. The company has said it plans to add about 5,800 beds over five years, and a hospital of about 470 beds in Gurugram is expected to open in the December quarter. The shares had risen 1.9% before the results; today is the first session to react to them.
